Sekotengs Series Airs September 26, Presents the Dynamics of 4 Handsome Koas Doctors

The Sekotengs series produced by Falcon Pictures, directed by Razka Robby Ertanto, will air starting September 26 on Prime Video. The series, adapted from a popular webtoon that has been read 76 million times, will feature the story of the dynamics of four handsome intern doctors.

The four main actors who will play the handsome intern doctors are Giorgino Abraham, Arbani Yasiz, Adipati Dolken, and Abidzar Al-Ghifari. In addition to the four, the series also stars Zee ex-JKT48, Ferry Salim, Ira Wibowo, Alvin Adam, and Willem Bevers.

In this series, it is a continued collaboration between Falcon Pictures and director Razka Bobby Ertanto after Kerasuka: Possession. According to Falcon Pictures producer Frederica, Razka is a ‘hidden gem’ director who needs to be given space to work simultaneously.

“Razka is a hidden gem director, and indeed must always be given the opportunity and platform so that he can work with totality. We trust Razka for the Sekotengs series. We hope that this series can be accepted by the public and can entertain with a very interesting story from handsome young men,” said Frederica during the Sekotengs series press conference at the Falcon Pictures office, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, Tuesday, (24/9).

Meanwhile, in the process of making it, director Razka Robby Ertanto revealed that he needed comprehensive research. In addition to location research to one of the hospitals in Jakarta, the production team also consulted intensively with doctors who had undergone internships and during filming received guidance from specialist doctors.

“The shooting was in two hospitals in Semarang, in the Family Welfare Hospital and Undip Hospital. The rooms chosen were also real rooms. So when producing, we had to take turns, if there were patients, we had to prioritize them first. Only if the room was empty, we continued shooting again,” explained Razka.

Giorgino Abraham, who plays one of the interns, said that to play his character, he also did research on several of his family members who are doctors. For him, this role is very challenging because he has to understand how doctors practice and treat patients.

“I dug up a lot of information outside the reading process. My own role is actually as a resident doctor who has privileges because he is the son of a high-ranking hospital management. However, outside of that he is also a character who is quite smart and a genius,” he said. (Z-9)
