American actress Liz Sheridan, best known for her TV roles on the sitcoms “Seinfeld” and “Alf”, has died. According to her manager Amanda Hendon, she died at her home in New York on Friday, five days following her death 93rd birthday, as reported by the broadcaster CNN and the industry journal “Hollywood Reporter”.
She started her career as a dancer in New York. In 1951 she met the then unknown actor James Dean. She wrote regarding her love story in the book Dizzy & Jimmy: My Life With James Dean: A Love Story (2000). It ended when Dean went to Hollywood.
Sheridan acted in Broadway musicals and in film and television productions from the 1980s. She played a nosy neighbor in the extraterrestrial series “Alf” and the worried mother of comedian Jerry Seinfeld in the sitcom “Seinfeld”.
