Austria’s beach volleyball duo Robin Seidl and Moritz Pristauz are going their separate ways starting next season. After narrowly failing to qualify for the Olympics, both suffered injuries and are now ending their collaboration as number 27 in the world rankings. They want to continue in 2025 with new partners that have not yet been announced. Her greatest successes were challenge tournament victories in Goa and Nuvali.
“I look back with one laughing eye and one crying eye. On the one hand, we have celebrated many successes, so the joy outweighs that. On the other hand, it’s a shame that we didn’t manage to qualify for the Olympics, our big goal. I think now is a good time to start a new project,” said Pristauz.
In addition to the joy of what he had achieved, Seidl was also disappointed at missing the Olympics. “It’s a shame that we didn’t achieve our goal by two places. Still, it was a cool experience. I made a new friend in Mo.” Seidl now wants to focus on Los Angeles 2028.
