The police launched a call for witnesses on Thursday in the context of the deadly brawl between two rival gangs which broke out in Péronnes-lez-Antoing on the night of July 14 to 15.
During a party under a marquee, a man was beaten with a hammer by several individuals and another died following being hit by a vehicle. The investigation quickly led to a settling of scores between two rival gangs in the biker community.
On July 27, a search was carried out at a Hell’s Angels premises in Leuze-en-Hainaut and four people were deprived of their freedom. On Tuesday, the Tournai council chamber issued an order releasing one of the four bikers charged with murder and attempted murder, but the prosecution appealed. The case is therefore provisionally sent back to the indictment chamber in Mons.
At the request of the investigating judge in Tournai, the police are looking for people who have photographs or videos taken during the evening. It also describes six people present during the events: the first with short dark hair, a beard, black shorts and a tank top; the second with a shaved head, blue jeans, a light gray t-shirt and a yellow bracelet on his left wrist; the third, masked, with light Bermuda shorts and a yellow t-shirt; the fourth, masked, with dark trousers, a leather jacket and a black cap; the fifth with a dark jacket and a burgundy cap; and the sixth with a shaved head and a long-sleeved green t-shirt.
