One of the most widespread rumors regarding the upcoming Pro models “iPhone 15” concerns the thickness of the bezel around the screen of future handsets. According to the renowned Mark Gurman (of Bloomberg), it will be only 1.5mm.
Just looking at the numbers, it may not make that much of a difference compared to the 2.2mm of the iPhone 14 Pro, but in a more visual comparison, the reduction is evident. Even more so if this comparison is made with an older model, such as the iPhone 11 Pro (from 2019).
O designer Ian Zelbodo 9to5Mac, made some montages that give us a better dimension of how big the change will be — of course, if it is actually implemented for the new line, which should be announced on September 13th.
There is both a simulation of what the edges of the “iPhones 15 Pro” will look like and one with models of the same category from other generations (iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro).
The most striking difference between the compared models is with the iPhone 11 Pro, mainly because it was the last model to have curved sides — a design that favors the perception of larger edges.
Interesting, don’t you think?
