Star host Jay Leno was released from hospital on Monday 10 days following suffering severe burns that disfigured his face when his car burned in his garage.

The former ‘Tonight Show’ pilot took the break with staff at the Grossman Burn Center on Monday, revealing the extent of injuries sustained in the fire. Marks left by the burns are particularly visible on his face and neck.
“I am delighted with Jay’s progress and am optimistic that he will make a full recovery,” his doctor, Dr. Peter Grossman, said in a statement.
Jay Leno, who these days hosts a show regarding his garage and his collection of antique cars, suffered second-degree injuries when gasoline ignited while working under one of his vehicles . He had to undergo two surgeries, in addition to hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
“Jay wants to let everyone know how grateful he is for the care and healing wishes he has received. He now plans to spend Thanksgiving with his family and friends,” the Grossman Burn Center statement said.
