A video showing the assembly of the Sennheiser HE-1, which has a review published on Oficina da Net, was revealed by the German audio equipment manufacturer on its YouTube channel. If you don’t know, the “Orpheus 2”, popular name for the HE-1, is the successor to the Sennheiser HE-90, which was considered for decades as the best headphones ever made. The HE-1 was launched in May 2017, about 26 years after the 1st “Sennheiser Orpheus”.

Sennheiser published a video on its official YouTube channel showing how the Sennheiser HE-1 (Orpheus 2) is assembled. During the scenes, Daman was introduced, a Polish employee who lives in Ireland and has worked at the Sennheiser factory in Tullamore for 4 years. In case you didn’t know, the Tullamore factory is responsible for manufacturing all headphones considered “audiophile” by the company, including the Sennheiser HD800S and the Sennheiser IE 600, which was recently evaluated in a review on Oficina da Net.

Daman is the sole person responsible for the assembly and testing process of the Sennheiser HE-1 at the Sennheiser factory in Tullamore, Ireland. According to the information revealed in the video, more than 3500 parts are used to manufacture an “Orpheus 2”. Assembling the entire system, comprising the headphone, DAC and amplifier, takes around two weeks to complete.
