Do you know when you need to complete a task very quickly, controlling every minute? And when is it necessary to monitor the passage of a certain period in a more intuitive way, seeing how much time is left? Of course, the clock is the most obvious resource for doing tasks like these, but an app for macOS lets you accomplish them in a more practical way.
O Day Progress has a very simple premise: it displays a progress bar in the macOS menu bar, showing — at a glance — how much time is left for the day. It is possible, however, to define the start and end time that the app should consider, which constitutes it as a kind of timer, showing the progress between the time defined as the beginning and the one chosen as the end of the time.
Next to the bar, it is possible that the amount of time left for the chosen period to end is also displayed in text. You can also customize the icon, choosing others instead of the bar, as well as changing the text indicator of the remaining time from hours and minutes to percentage.
There is a possibility that Day Progress will automatically start whenever you turn on and log in to your Mac. Despite having a very simple premise, the app can be interesting for anyone who wants to manage the time of a task in a more intuitive way, just by looking at it.
The software is compatible with machines running macOS 13.3 or newer and is free.
