According to the first versions, the armed subjects are members of the Sinaloa Cartel, who wear tactical vests and some wear black balaclavas. Supposedly, the uniformed men were disarmed and abandoned.

For his part, the Secretary of Public Security of the State, Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, ruled out that the images released in a video, regarding an armed group that has alleged military subjects, correspond to an area of Sinaloa and that they are elements of the Army. , since the boots and clothing do not correspond.
He announced that the Peace Analysis Table analyzed said video that circulates on social networks, regarding an alleged subjugation of personnel from the Ministry of National Defense, in the community of La Noria, in Mazatlán, since the images are not recent and the military clothing does not correspond to the elements of the armed forces.
He commented that there is no official information that this supposed event was staged last weekend, in the community of La Noria, in Mazatlán.
The armed forces carry out operations in Sinaloa, where the cartel headed by Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada has operated for several decades. Since 2013, Rafael Caro Quintero, who was the leader of the Guadalajara cartel, has been released from prison and is said to also operate in Sinaloa.
