Emma’s search for the identity of the secret singer starts by taking a look at this person’s dressing room. Here Emma finds all kinds of postcards from Spain. The singer also sees a football with a red pump heel on it. Based on this, Emma has a suspicion who it is: “I am now thinking of a football woman who lived in Spain.” However, panel member Soy Kroon thinks because of the hints that the mysterious singer is an actress who once had recordings in sunny Spain.
April Darby also suspects it is an actress. Her thoughts turn to the series Football women. When hearing the name of this series, Emma, who is also a football wife because of her relationship with professional football player Wesley Hoedt, starts to beam. “That really is my favorite series.” Full of enthusiasm, Emma goes to the wall to sing James Bay’s ‘Hold Back The River’ with her anonymous duet partner.
During the first round the secret singer only sing one complete sentence. The panel sees a shadow of a man showering standing in a bathtub. Despite this hint, Emma and the panel members are still completely in the dark. “I’m in the football corner, so I think there might be regarding two thousand people,” sighs the singer. The football woman thinks she can only hear her secret singer ‘is not a professional singer’.
And those words hit Bas Muijs hard, who is standing on the other side of the wall. During the second round he steps up his game. And that doesn’t go unnoticed by Emma. “I think he’s a little upset that I said he’s not a professional singer.” April and Soy agree to this with a laugh.
The panel still has no idea who the male voice came from. “I have the feeling that I know him well,” says Soy. Jamai therefore gives the three a helping hand. “With this secret singer would you like to eat a rusk?” the presenter gives away as an extra hint. That hint turns out to be worth gold: all panel members now think they know who it is.
Yet their jaws drop in surprise when they see Bas step out of the bathtub. However, Emma still has no idea that she is dating a popular soapie Good times Bad Times is on stage. Thanks to Danny’s hint, Emma now knows that she is singing with an actor. This gives her a suspicion of who it is. “I’m thinking of someone who speaks Italo Football women has played,” Emma says with a slight hesitation in her voice. Emma still mentions the name Bas, but actually thinks that is not his name. That is why she finally decides to answer ‘Italo from Football women‘ to the question who is the secret singer is.
Emma can’t believe her happiness when her ‘idol’ comes out Football women indeed comes from behind the wall. Both Emma and the panel are impressed by Bas’s singing skills.
The football with the pump is of course a hint at Italo Ferrero’s role in it Football women. Bas was more than happy to put himself in the shoes of the aggressive footballer, who never minces words. “I don’t know if it would still be allowed in this day and age,” the actor laughs. Yet Emma and Bas both still hope for a comeback of the once successful series.
Although Emma did not mention the name Bas Muijs, she still gets the full five points from Bas for guessing Italo. Soy, April and Danny all failed to write down the correct name.
