German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his wife Britta Ernst, Minister of Education of the State of Brandenburg, throw away confidential documents in a trash bin outside their home. This is reported by the publication Der Spiegel.

“Scholz and Ernst don’t seem to take getting rid of confidential documents too seriously. Documents that give a glimpse into the private and official lives of the couple’s politicians can often be found in municipal waste. Apparently, this is Scholz’s wife throwing away confidential documents without first destroying them, ”the material says.

The publication reports that following the Bavarian G7 summit, a sheet of paper with photographs and brief information regarding the spouses of the heads of state of the G7 turned out to be in the chancellor’s trash can. For example, under the photo of the wife of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, it was written “avoids the public”, and in the profile of the wife of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida it was indicated that she was a secretary at Mazda. The publication clarifies that this is public information, but the document was classified by the German Foreign Ministry as confidential.
