Head of the Data and Information Division of the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU), Fahmi Zikrillah, said that his party would involve seven panelists. The selection of panelists was again adjusted to the theme of the second debate.

“The names of these panelists are different from the panelists involved in the inaugural debate. Panelists have been matched to the debate theme. “And in principle, the debate panelists consist of experts or experts in their respective fields, according to the debate theme raised,” said Head of the Data and Information Division of the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU), Fahmi Zikrillah, in his statement on Sunday (27/10 ).

It is known that the second debate tonight carried the theme “Economy and Social Welfare” with six sub-themes, namely integrated infrastructure and excellent basic services; education and health; handling social inequality; development of the digital economy and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs); tourism and creative economy; and inflation of basic commodities.

Meanwhile, the seven panelists in the second debate were Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, National Development University (UPN) Jakarta Veteran Taufiq F Pasiak, Executive Director of the Institute for Development of Economic and Finance (Indef) Tauhid Ahmad, Secretary General of the All-Indonesian Workers’ Organization Timboel Siregar.

There is also the Chair of the National Cadre Association and founder of Grassroots Strategic Consulting Dimas Oky Nugroho, Chancellor of IPB University Arif Satria, entrepreneur and creator of investment and financial education content Felicia Putri Tjiasaka, and Deputy II for Distribution and Utilization of the National Zakat Amil Agency (Baznas) M Imdadun Rahmat.

Fahmi said that the panelists had dug deeper into issues related to the economy and social welfare directly from the people who felt it, so that the information obtained by the panelists was richer for preparing questions later.

“So it is more up to the panelists to enrich the material and prepare questions for the debate,” he explained.

Regarding the arrangement of the debate segments, Fahmi explained that the technical aspects were still the same as the first debate which consisted of segments 1 to 5.

“The first segment conveys the vision and mission of the program for each candidate pair for governor and deputy governor, the second and third segments are for deepening the vision and mission by the moderator. “Then the fourth and fifth segments continued with questions and answers between pairs of candidates, and the sixth segment delivered closing statements for each pair of candidates,” he explained.
