Second defeat in a row: Ried lost 2:4 against St. Pölten

Against SKN St. Pölten, the Innviertel team surprisingly left the pitch as 2:4 (1:1) losers and are now three points behind leader Admira, who defeated Stripfing 2:0 on Friday.

David Bumberger (45th + 2) and Ante Bajic (92nd) scored the goals for the Rieders, who, like in the 2:3 against Rapid II the previous week, were unable to use their home advantage and hardly had any chances out of the game. In the finish, SV central defender Nikki Havenaar also saw yellow and red (77th). Elijah Just (40th), Malcolm Stolt (65th), Ramiz Harakate (87th) and Gabriel Kirejczyk (94th) made the guests celebrate; it was only the second win of the season for eleventh-placed SKN.

Coach Maximilian Senft’s Rieders have finally slipped into a small crisis. After five wins in the first five games, in which they didn’t concede a goal, they only managed four points in the last four matches with nine goals conceded. In addition to Admira (22 points), SW Bregenz (20) and the Jung-Rapidler (19) with the same points are ahead of Ried in the table.
