Almeria suffered the third defeat in a row in the Spanish League, losing at home to Osasuna, with a clean goal, in the fifth round of the tournament.
Osasuna owes this victory to Argentine striker Ezequiel Avila, who scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute.
And Almeria lost in the last round from Valladolid with the same result, in addition to losing to Real Madrid in the opening round with a clean goal, while it achieved its only victory over Seville and tied with Elche 1-1.
The win raised Osasuna’s tally to 12 points to share third place with Real Betis, one point behind runner-up Barcelona and three points behind leaders Real Madrid. Almeria’s balance stopped at four points in the fourteenth place.
