Vienna (OTS) The Austrian Climate Dialogue brings together different parts of society in order to make progress together in the fight once morest the climate crisis and to involve everyone in the process. On Friday, the Climate Dialogue stopped off in Vienna for the first time in the Folklore Museum and the Brunnenpassage. Under the motto: “Climate for everyone. Together through the transformation”, numerous best-practice examples were presented, which should help to take the most diverse parts of society with you when it comes to running the “marathon” climate protection. Representatives of the City of Vienna gave an insight into the successful climate teams, the Peregrina association conveyed how the aspects of gender and diversity can be incorporated into the work on climate protection, game experts inspired those present with digital and analogue climate games that were played worldwide The first climate biennial was presented and the climate walks of the Austria Guides for Future showed how climate protection and climate change adaptation can be implemented at the local level. Artist and bestselling author Omar Khir Alanam ended the day in the Ottakringer Brunnenpassage with a poetry slam.

About the Austrian Climate Dialogue

“Climate protection is not a task for just one actor. It is a task for society as a whole, and we depend on civil society being able to play its part. That’s why there is a climate dialogue,” emphasized Jürgen Schneider, section head in the Ministry of Climate Protection.

The series of events serves the intensive networking of politics, administration, science and the population. It is intended to encourage people to join forces and form alliances in order to achieve climate goals together. The Austrian Climate Dialogue is part of the implementation of the EU Governance Regulation, which stipulates that every member state must set up a dialogue on climate and energy policy issues at several levels.

The next Climate Dialogue will take place on October 24th and 25th, 2023 in Upper Austria. More information at: www.klima-dialog.at
