Next September, IPM Group, the press group that publishes, among other DH/Les Sports+ will have a new general manager. Sébastien Desclée will succeed Denis Pierrard who, following twenty years as general manager of the group, is retiring.
Sébastien Desclée, following studying economics and management at UCL, joined Procter & Gamble where, for 7 years, he successively held financial and marketing responsibilities. In 2007, his career led him to occupy the general management of the Publicis agency, where he was confronted with the challenges of strategic repositioning in the rapidly changing world of communication. In 2011, his responsibilities are expanding. He becomes the CEO of the consolidated group Publicis and Duval Guillaume.
Two years later, he joined an American communication group, FCB (Interpublic), where, as president of International & Alliances, he managed a network of 70 offices spread over five continents. Since 2021, Sébastien Desclée has been the CEO of FCB in New Zealand, a responsibility completed in 2022 with the coordination of relations between the group’s 60 franchise offices around the world. He says today “very enthusiastic to join a group engaged in a profound digital transformation with iconic press brands”. For François le Hodey, CEO of IPM Group, “Sébastien ticks all the boxes, he has a great knowledge of digital media, he is a charismatic leader and he has solid managerial experience”.
