Sebastián Sosa achieves parole in trial for sexual assault | TUDN Football

Sosa is accused along with three other footballers, José Florentín, Braian Cufré and Abiel Osorio, all from Vélez Sarsfield, of rape, although with different participation.

Unlike Sosa, the other three footballers were sent to house arrest, all as ruled in the first hearing of the case held this Wednesday in Argentina, led by Judge Eliana Gómez.

All the footballers were separated from Vélez Sarsfield, as announced by the Liniers institution through an official statement.

None of the soccer players involved in the case can leave Tucumán, Argentina, until the oral trial is held, which is estimated to take place in a period of around 90 days.

According to La Gaceta, prosecutor María Eugenia Posse had requested that all the soccer players be held in preventive detention for three months, something that ultimately did not happen.

The complainant’s lawyer, Juan Andrés Robles, revealed to CNN Radio that the maximum will be requested for this sentence, which is 20 years in prison.

Braian Cufré and José Florentín would be the main perpetrators since they are accused of raping the 24-year-old girl (co-authors of the aggravated sexual abuse).
