The Chilean taekwondo player Sebastián Navea continues to achieve positive results and this time he won the gold medal in the G1 category “Dominican Open” where he faced great exponents from the continent.

In the final, Navea defeated an Olympic representative who now competes for a country of Arab origin, where he demonstrated a high level, making it clear that he is aiming for the Pan American Championship in a good way.

“There were four very difficult fights of very good quality, in this I mean the level of the opponents, this helps me for the Pan American, they made it very difficult for me and this helps me correct details and also gain more confidence. I have felt very good in the competitions and I have been gaining experience from each fight I have,” declared the prominent Ñublensino athlete.

Now Navea will continue his preparation for the Specific Pan American Games in Brazil, where he aims to reach his highest level and perform great.

“I am preparing for the Specific Pan American Championship that takes place in Rio de Janeiro, at the beginning of May. I am gathering resources for this competition and for the Rio Open. It was also part of my preparation, the President Cup where I had a positive result. “This with what is coming in the Dominican Republic is my preparation for Brazil,” says Navea.
