The seasons of the year play a major role in the occurrence of both physical and psychological changes in the body, and man has noticed since ancient times that the weather in the seasons of the year is linked to the state of mood. And modern science came to confirm the existence of a relationship between the state of the soul and weather changes.

In this article, I will review with you the reasons for the relationship between weather changes and the psychological state, what are the effects, and how to maintain a stable and balanced psychological state.

What is the relationship of the seasons of the year psychological state?

At the outset, we must clarify that daylight, sun, and average temperatures have a significant impact on the psychological state, as it affects the level of hormone secretion in the body, which in turn can increase the chances of exposure to seasonal disorders in some people.

Along with the body’s so-called circadian rhythm, a 24-hour vital process that affects sleep and wakefulness.

It was also found that there are biological charges in the universe that affect human mood and some of the functions of the mind.

– And now it is worth talking regarding the changes that occur with each season of the year?

Winter season: In this season, the mood differs from one person to another according to his mood, as there are people who are susceptible to depression or anxiety disorders, as in this season the length of the night increases more and the daylight decreases, which leads to the emergence of some disturbing symptoms such as: stress and fatigue. , increased appetite, and loss of pleasure in doing things you love. On the contrary, there are people who prefer this season of the year, because lower temperatures reduce the rate of feeling nervous stress and tension clearly, and they tend to see rain, hear its sound and smell it, and this makes them happy.

Spring season: This season has a positive effect on mental health, as it is a comfortable season for the soul and nerves due to its moderate temperatures.

Summer: Daylight increases in this season, which helps to control the levels of hormones in the body, and thus the vast majority become more vital and active, and at the same time the temperature affects mental health; Studies have shown that people who are in a high-temperature room are more prone to nervousness, stress and violence compared to those who are in low-temperature rooms, and there is an American study that confirms that most crimes take place in hot seasons.

Autumn: The chances of exposure to rapid mood swings increase in this season due to daily changes in daylight and weather temperature.

In conclusion, we can maintain, as much as possible, a balanced mental health by maintaining moderate temperatures, by cooling the surrounding air in the summer and warming it in the winter, in order to avoid mood disorders and mental illnesses.
