Little Emile, two and a half years old, disappeared two months ago in the hamlet of Haut-Vernet in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The investigation is continuing but with difficulty.
BFM TV nevertheless reported this Friday that one of the inhabitants of Haut-Vernet spoke out while the rest of the village is walled in silence.
Marc, the witness who was renamed as such, is one of the two witnesses to have seen the child before his disappearance. “Yes, that day, I saw the little one going down to the washhouse. I was doing work at home and at that time, I was outside in front of my stairs,” he explains to the regional BFM channel.
According to him, “the grandfather was cutting wood regarding ten meters from the child,” just before the incident which happened around “4:45 p.m.,” he reports. “Afterwards, I continued my work inside. And when I poked my head out of the window a few minutes later, I saw the frantic family looking for the little one and who quickly called the police,” he adds.
