Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs paid the mortgage on his mansion before his arrest – La Opinión

New York rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 54, who was arrested Monday in a Manhattan hotel, paid off the mortgage on his Miami mansion shortly before his arrest.

The decision of the singer, who is accused of various sexual crimes, was shared by his lawyers, who offered the house and that of the singer’s mother in exchange for being granted bail, but their proposal was rejected.

“We paid the mortgage because that’s what it means to build trust. We’ve done these things to build trust in a real, substantial sense. There’s nothing about this as a show. Nobody makes bad financial decisions just for a show. It was important. And I told him this is an important thing to do,” he said. Marc Agnifilolawyer of the controversial rapper.

In response to the proposal to give the two mansions as collateral, Agnifilo also offered to hand over six passports, that of the accused and five other relatives, to prove that he would not flee the country, but all his proposals were rejected, so his trial will continue in prison and not at liberty.

The house offered, which until recently was mortgaged, is known as Two Star and is located on Star Island Drive in the city of Miami. Its value is $48.5 million dollars and is made up of two houses, the first one was bought in 2003 and the second in 2021.

The main mansion, which was the first one he bought, has nine bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, while the second has six bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms.

The second property, which is situated on a lot of 1.34 acres and is made up of two buildings, it once belonged to Gloria and Emilio, two old acquaintances of the Hispanic community.

Outside there are terraces, extensive green areas, swimming pools with their respective spa areas, jacuzzis, fountains, among other amenities.
