HOCKEY. Sean Couturier hasn’t seen action in a National Hockey League (NHL) game in almost two years. The Flyers forward should be able to be at his position from the start of next season.
Meeting with Philadelphia media on the eve of the team’s training camp, general manager Daniel Briere confirmed that Sean Couturier and teammate Cam Atkinson are ready to return to the game.
“Knock on wood. For now, everyone is doing well. Couturier and Atkinson did not play for the entirety of last season. To see them skating on the ice, participating in all the exercises, even those with contacts, it’s exciting! We hope it will stay like that,” said Daniel Brière, who has held the position of general manager of the Flyers since last spring.

Having had two back surgeries, Sean Couturier played his last game in the NHL on December 18, 2021. The return to play of the 30-year-old center will give a valuable helping hand to the Flyers, who did not participate in the playoffs. playoffs the last two seasons.
