The National Secretary of the Gabonese Social Democrats (SDG), Thierry Makando and his companions crisscrossed the department of Invindo and the commune of Makokou from August 10 to 11, 2024 to campaign in favor of the yes vote in the next constitutional referendum.
Wherever he went, the political leader from the Ivindo department, as usual, made a point of showing his solidarity with his compatriots in the hinterland who are facing many difficulties.
In addition to the solidarity he has always shown, this tour aimed to mobilize the activists of Juste Louangou Bouyomeka’s party for a triumph of the “Yes” in the upcoming referendum in the province of Ogooué Ivindo.
From the commune of Makokou through the cantons of Aboye, Mougnandji and Lole, the National Secretary of the SDG had frank exchanges with the Ogivins. In addition to numerous grievances submitted to the one who is affectionately called “The Son of the Country”, the Ogivins did not fail to thank the latter for the numerous marks of attention towards them over several years.
These reunions were also an opportunity to present to the “brothers and sisters” of the Commune of Makokou and the department of Ivindo, the roadmap of the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) while placing particular emphasis on the achievements of the last 11 months across the entire territory, while emphasizing the projects underway in the province of Ogooué Ogooué Ivindo.
It is on this basis that Thierry Makando and his entourage have called on everyone to vote massively in favor of “Yes” in the upcoming referendum in order to allow Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema to continue the transformation of the country, initiated since the advent of the CTRI to power on August 30, 2023.
This tour was also an opportunity for the executives of this political party to take stock of the actions of the SDG since its creation in February 2018, but also an opportunity to share once again with the populations the vision of the Gabonese Social Democrats and its Founding President Juste Louangou Bouyomeka.
