Treasure caused controversy with a map that excluded Dokdo.

The tour schedule was announced while holding the first Japanese fan meeting ‘HELLO AGAIN’ at Tokyo Ariake Arena on the 30th and 1st of last month, but Dokdo was missing from the map.

The large map displayed on the stage LED includes Jeju Island, Ulleungdo, Japan’s Tsushima Island, and other attached islands, but Dokdo is difficult to find, as if it were cut out.

In response, fans are rushing to post criticism on online bulletin boards, saying, “Shield is not possible.” The general consensus is that it is difficult to see it as a mistake. While Japan has consistently claimed sovereignty over Dokdo, criticism is pouring in over the intention of using such a map on an official stage.

“Even if it is a sensitive issue between Korea and Japan, this is not a trick but humiliation,” “It is clearly a K-pop group that includes Korean idols, so wouldn’t they do it this way?” and “I wonder whose work it is. This is something that requires a formal apology.” It is showing.

Meanwhile, Treasure, which debuted in August 2020, consists of eight Korean members and two Japanese members.

TREASURE has recently been active in Japan as well. They appeared on TV Asahi’s ‘Music Station’ (hereinfollowing referred to as ‘MST’), which was broadcast live on the 29th of last month (local time), and performed the title song ‘REBOOT’ of their 2nd full-length album ‘REBOOT’. The Japanese version of ‘BONA BONA’ was performed.

‘MSTE’ is a popular Japanese music program that has been the most popular for 37 years, and on this day, the production team introduced Treasure as the group that succeeds YG Entertainment’s Big Bang and Blackpink.

Treasure, who officially debuted in Japan in March 2021, ranked first on the Oricon chart and Line Music for all Japanese albums released so far. The recently released 2nd full-length album ‘Reboot’ achieved 5 wins on the major weekly album charts Oricon and Billboard Japan. The title song, ‘Bona Bona’, a Korean song, topped Line Music, the largest local music site, and various local charts.

Currently, TREASURE is carrying out a large-scale Japanese fan meeting tour spanning 5 cities and 20 rounds, and will conclude on November 12th at Tokyo Dome, known as the stage of dreams.

From January 6 to February 23 next year, performances will be held in Fukuoka, Saitama, Aichi, Hiroshima, Osaka, Fukui, Nagoya, etc.

In addition, we will meet domestic fans at KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park for three days from December 15th to 17th. Reporter Jeonghyeok Lee [email protected]
