Manchester City announced this Friday the renewal of Scott Carson, the team’s third goalkeeper, who since his arrival in 2019 has played two games with the ‘Sky Blues’.
Carson, 37, will play his 20th professional season with City, following extending his contract by one year.
The goalkeeper, a substitute for Ederson Moraes and Stefan Ortega, has played two games for City in these four years, in the penultimate game of the 2020-2021 season once morest Newcastle United and in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 last year once morest Sporting Lisbon, following the English won 5-0 in the first leg.
Throughout his career, which began with Leeds United, Carson made 171 appearances for Derby County and 118 appearances for West Bromwich Albion. He also played for Aston Villa, Liverpool, Wigan Athletic and Bursaspor, among others.
“I love working with Pep and our fantastic players every day. I hope I can help our goalkeepers to be better,” Carson told the club.
