MEXICO CITY.- The Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) resumed its usual jurisdictional activities after joining the strike of workers of the Judiciary in protest against the reform proposed by the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
This Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., the Minister President Norma Pineapple Hernandezopened the session and the secretary of the plenary put to a vote the minutes of the last public session they had, on September 2.
SCJN resumes work after strike
During the first session of the Plenary of the SCJN A review of an unconstitutionality action filed in 2023 by deputies of the Congress of Tamaulipas.
The appeal was filed against a decree that reformed provisions of the Water Law and various legislation for said entity.
The minister Loretta Ortiz Ahfl He requested that the project in which he proposed declaring the aforementioned challenge unfounded be withdrawn from the list, and that it be discussed until other related projects are resolved.
The matter was withdrawn and the session was adjourned at 1:21 p.m. on Tuesday.

The session took place in the context of ongoing protests by PJF workers, who gathered in the vicinity of the Supreme Court.

You agree on “necessary” measures in the face of judicial reform
After resuming work and at the end of the public session, the eleven ministers participated in a private session in which the recently approved judicial reform was discussed.
It was agreed to take the necessary measures to implement the judicial reform and that these do not affect the jurisdictional work.
The decision was unanimous after the reform came into force yesterday, Monday, September 16.
