The sound of the magnetic field Tierra has been recorded by a group of Danish scientists. The experts used instruments from the European Space Agency (ESA) to be able to capture the information and later retransmit it on social networks.
Earth’s magnetic field is not anything in our existence. This element is what protects us from the particles that arrive from the Sun. It prevents radiation from penetrating in its original state and is thus fundamental in the development of life as we know it.
Knowing how to listen may not be going to change their lives. However, knowing some details of the recording process of this sound, perhaps, can draw your attention.
The world’s magnetic field is formed from the core of our planet. So, by having this sound we have to realize that we are listening to the center of the Earth.
This project is promoted and executed by researchers from the Technical University of Denmark, according to a review Gizmodo. The data was collected by extracting information from ESA’s three Swarm satellites.
These devices of the space agency of the old continent have the task of making the most accurate map ever made of the Earth’s magnetic field. All three work in different orbits to try to detect each sound wave that our protective layer emits.
How does the center of the Earth sound?
Experts say it sounds scary, because it sounds like a bunch of rocks crashing into each other. So that makes our imaginations go to what happens to the tectonic plates in an earthquake.
