München – Fresh wind at Platzl.
The three gastro professionals Uli Springer (riding school), Friedemann Findeis (L’Osteria) and Dino Klemencic (Rocca Riviera) take over the “Orlando” from Alfons Schuhbeck (72), who, as is well known, had to file for bankruptcy.
The renovation is currently in full swing, the opening is scheduled for the end of June. Springer to BILD: “It will be an Italian restaurant called ‘Ornella’. It is an incredibly beautiful house in a wonderful place. With a huge outdoor area. We want to use it in such a way that people feel like going there.” Because: The “Platzl” is also kind of sleepy. “There’s still more potential there,” says Springer.
Regarding the Schuhbeck case, he says: “I don’t know enough of the background. But he is a Munich original. Of course it’s a shame when someone ends up flat on their stomachs at the end of their career. That’s never nice and you wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”
