82 years old and not the least bit quiet: Ex-ÖSV President Peter Schröcksnadel presented himself in top form on Monday evening on the TV program “Sport & Talk in Hangar 7”. In the heated discussion regarding global warming and the future of skiing, the Tyrolean targeted none other than FIS President Johan Eliasch.
“Unfortunately, I helped Eliasch to become FIS President. I regret that with everything I have. I will try to get him gone because we won’t be happy with him. Regardless of the races or what he promises “He’s bad for the sport. He doesn’t understand the associations, he doesn’t understand how business works,” said Schröcksnadel. The 82-year-old accuses the former, millionaire boss of the ski company Head, among other things, of dealing poorly with the national ski associations. “He doesn’t know that thousands of officials work there for free and that it’s not a company where he can work.”
The criticism from climate activist and ÖSV squad runner Julian Schütter caused Schröcksnadel to ricochet. Bashing once morest the Ski World Cup is discriminatory. Schütter’s replica was also something special. “I don’t have the feeling that skiing is being discriminated once morest.
