Thiruvananthapuram | The government’s decision to reopen schools in the state will come into effect from today. With this, the functioning of schools will return to normal. About 47 lakh students will be attending schools today. There are 38 lakh students in classes one to ten, seven and a half lakh in the higher secondary section and 66,000 in the vocational higher secondary section.
This is the first time in the state that schools have been fully reopened following the Kovid epidemic was confirmed. Schools will operate in full compliance with Covid standards. Government decisions apply to CBSE schools and ICSE schools in the State. The schools are fully operational with the coordination of the Local Government and Home Departments of Public Education, Health and Transport. Since the decision of the government, the Department of Public Instruction has been working under the auspices of the Department of Public Instruction to facilitate education in schools. As part of this, several meetings at the departmental and official level were convened under the chairmanship of Public Education Minister V Sivankutty. Minister of State for Home V Sivankutty said that all facilities are fully operational in the schools and there is no need for students and parents to worry.
