Schools in the Salvador (BA) region host Roadshow in March

Between the 6th and 7th of March, three schools in the region of Salvador (BA) hosted the “International Roadshow – The Power of Image”, a series of lectures held at partner schools of Full Sail University – a university based in Orlando, in the United States. United.

In the region of the capital of Bahia, the Roadshow visited the “Leffler”, “Villa Global Education” and “Panamerican” schools. The event aims to visit Full Sail partner schools across Brazil in person in order to promote the university and its projects, in addition to giving lectures on topics related to the universe of international education and creative careers.

Carol Olival, Community Outreach Director of Full Sail in Brazil, visited the schools where the Roadshow passed and spoke about “The Power of Image” which, for her, guarantees an interesting vision about art, communication and technology.

“Furthermore, my lectures in schools in Bahia talked about the main means that, today, we have to be who we are and do what we do”, explains Olival.

According to the speaker, the event was also an opportunity to address the Creativity Marathon 2024, which takes place in March this year, and which aims to disseminate technology projects to participating students.

“For young people, this is an almost immersive experience to learn and visualize, even more, the technology and creativity in education and professions today, in addition to ensuring greater understanding about Full Sail University, a university that offers courses in the area of creative careers and emerging technologies in the USA”, he states.

“The Roadshow at Full Sail, held at Villa Global Education, was an enriching experience for students from the 9th year of Elementary School to the 3rd year of High School”, says Mr. Jazz, general education coordinator at Villa Global Education.

He says that, during the event, all rooms were visited, providing participants with a complete immersion in the world of creativity and innovation.

“With presentations in English and Portuguese, three main topics were covered. The first highlight was the ‘Creativity Marathon 2024’, which explored the latest trends and techniques to stimulate creativity in different areas”, he reports. “Students were able to learn about strategies to develop innovative solutions and face creative challenges collaboratively”, he adds.

Next, the “Full Sail Summer Camp” was presented, a program that offers students the opportunity to “immerse themselves” in practical activities related to the entertainment industry, such as cinema, music, design and technology. “Young people discovered how the program can expand their horizons and prepare them for future careers in creative fields,” says Mr. Jazz.

For him, another highlight was the introduction of the QR Code with vocational test research. On this occasion, students were able to access interactive questionnaires that helped them discover their skills and interests, guiding them in choosing careers compatible with their profiles.

“In addition, gifts were distributed based on the interaction and interest of participants, encouraging engagement throughout the event”, he points out.

To conclude, the general education coordinator at Villa Global Education highlights that the event was a learning opportunity for teachers and students, who were able to explore new ideas, techniques and career opportunities, expanding their knowledge and perspectives in the field of creative industries.

“Carol Olival’s visits to all rooms at Villa Global Education lasted an average of eight minutes and left a positive mark. The Roadshow inspired each participant to explore their full creative potential and pursue their passions with determination and enthusiasm, as well as learn about Full Sail’s options in the US,” she says.
