School road safety improved in municipality of Itapúa department

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications, in cooperation with the Municipality of Trinidad, began installing speed bumps in school zones near route PY06, in the department of Itapúa, in order to safeguard the safety of students in the area.

The implementation of these measures, in addition to reducing speed in critical areas, aims to make drivers aware of the importance of reducing speed near educational centers, to safeguard the safety of students, contributing to the prevention of road accidents.

The project includes the placement of four speed bumps in front of two schools, including the Santa María Elementary School No. 1440 and the Florencio González Flores Elementary School No. 740, located at km 38 and km 27, respectively, of the national route.

The teams from the MOPC La Paz Asphalt Plant built the first two speed bumps in front of the Santa María Elementary School No. 1440 in the first stage. Later, they will work on the other educational institution at km 27.

Previously, the vertical signage was placed and the municipality of Trinidad will be responsible for painting the horizontal signage.

This joint action demonstrates the commitment of both institutions to road safety, especially near educational centers. The MOPC reaffirms its willingness to collaborate with municipalities to implement solutions that prioritize citizen well-being.
