In order to reduce the shortage of skilled workers in the nursing sector and make training more attractive, the state of Upper Austria will waive school fees in the future. According to State Councilor for Social Affairs Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer (VP), this is “an important step to relieve the burden on prospective carers”. The social department spent a total of 408,000 euros.
According to State Governor Thomas Stelzer (VP), they want to “ensure the best care for people with disabilities”.
