“The purpose of this administrative investigation is to paint an overall picture of the situation and to determine the additional actions to be taken, if necessary”, indicated the Ministers of Sport, Education and Higher Education in a press release.

It will focus in particular on the administration, organization and operation of the schools and sports bodies concerned.

“The allegations in this case are very concerning and that is why my two colleagues and I are launching this investigation today to shed light on the situation. There is no compromise to be made on the safety of students within the network,” underlined the Minister of Education, Bernard Drainville.

“Athletes deserve to be able to practice their sports safely, in a healthy and respectful environment. It is our responsibility to turn every stone, to shed light on these allegations and to ensure that the mechanisms in place are effective in order to prevent this type of event and to protect the integrity of our young people. added Isabelle Charest, Minister responsible for Sports, Recreation and the Outdoors.
