School and university championship: kick-off in Port-Gentil

The Joseph Ambourouet Avaro high school served as the setting for the launching ceremony of the socio-educational activities of the school and university championship (CSU). It was the Minister of National Education in charge of civic training, Camelia Ntoutoume Leclercq, who gave the kick-off. The goal sought by the Gabonese government through this major inter-establishment competition is to identify hidden talents.

“This makes it possible to detect all the talents per classroom, then we would have an inter-establishment competition and the big national competition,” made Ms. Ntoutoume Leclercq understand.

Knowing how to count on the team spirit of each student, the member of the government encouraged the participants to express themselves validly and to show determination throughout the tests.

” I count on you ! In these interclass phases give the best of you, to be recognized to compete once morest other establishments ››, motivates the Minister of National Education.

The school and university championship is the new label of Gabonese school sport, replacing the Gabonese Office of School and University Sports (OGSSU), created more than thirty years ago. Its mission is to strengthen enthusiasm among schoolchildren in order to increase the detection of national gems for a healthy Gabonese sport.

This kick-off allowed the different interclass learners to express themselves in the 100 meters, a basketball tournament, cultural performances, slam and many others. It helps fight once morest idleness among students by promoting living together, school cohesion and fraternity.

“I am impressed by the ability of the students themselves to take ownership of all areas, I invite you to give the best of you,” she encouraged.
