Scholarships Office: Empowering Students for Academic Excellence and Leadership

ABU DHABI, 1st November / WAM / The “Scholarships Office” organized a virtual introductory meeting, attended by more than 3,800 academically distinguished male and female students in the twelfth grade in public and private schools, in addition to students from the Institutes of Applied Technology in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting comes within the framework of the office’s efforts to familiarize students with the conditions of the “Mission of His Highness the President of the State for Scientifically Distinguished Students,” the “Internal Scholarship Program,” the “Meteorology Scholarship,” and the “Actuarial Sciences Mission,” and to provide an overview of the Emirates Standardized Test “EMSAT,” in addition to raising awareness regarding Students meet the application requirements inside and outside the country.
His Excellency Ahmed Mohammed Al Himiri, Secretary-General of the Presidential Office, confirmed on this occasion that the meeting embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Office, which aims to enhance investment in education and empower and support male and female students. In order to ensure their excellence and leadership in all scientific and cognitive fields.
His Excellency pointed out the office’s keenness to follow up on students, communicate directly with them, guide them, meet their needs, and follow up on their educational paths in the best local and international universities. In an effort to achieve its mission to graduate an elite group of qualified students, with professional skills and high academic levels, who are able to participate diligently and sincerely in the renaissance of society and building the state.
During the meeting, a documentary film was shown regarding the office’s vision, mission, achievements, and goals. An introductory overview of the scholarships offered, their objectives, advantages, and conditions for obtaining them was also presented, and a set of advice and guidance for students urging them to excel academically and exert double effort in order to achieve the highest grades in the high school exam. Which makes it easier for them to obtain this prestigious mission.
The meeting also included introductory sections regarding the “Meteorology Scholarship” and the “Actuarial Science Mission,” and an overview of the Emirates Standardized Tests (EMSAT).
The “Scholarships Office”, which was established in 1999, manages the “Mission of His Highness the President of the State for Academically Distinguished Students” and the “Internal Scholarships Programme”, while the Board of Directors supervises the mission’s affairs, including selecting students nominated for scholarships, and determining the universities and scientific specializations for them. .
The office works, through a specialized team, to attract an elite group of distinguished national students who are high school graduates and place them in the best international and local universities, provide direct academic guidance services, and closely follow up on their affairs from the first day until graduation.
It is worth noting that registration for the “Mission of His Highness the President of the State for Academically Distinguished Students” is open until November 9, 2023, through the website of the “Office of Scholarships.”
