A few hours following the expiration of the deadline for the presentation of the lists, Governor Juan Schiaretti and the pro-government candidate Martín Llaryora are closely following the arduous negotiations in Together for Change, to try to add radical and PRO leaders to the ballot of the pro-government alliance Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba.
In the last few hours, Peronist operators have been in negotiations with radical and PRO leaders to tempt them to cross the path, as has already been done by the radical Myrian Prunotto, who is a member of the provincial formula, and the president of the PRO, Javier Pretto, who will accompany Daniel Passerini, in the binomial for the city of Córdoba.
While these conversations continue, this morning, Llaryora and Pronutto shared the first act together in public. It was a meeting of the Neighborhood Prevention and Coexistence Councils, which was held at the Convention Center of the Fair complex.
The theme chosen to be shown was not random either. The issue of insecurity will be one of the main topics of debate in the campaign and the Neighborhood Councils are part of the Córdoba se encuentra plan launched by the mayor of the capital.
Governor Juan Schiaretti also participated in the act, but they did not share the stage because Llaryora had already withdrawn from the meeting, which was massive.
In hours of feverish negotiations for the conformation of the ruling party lists, in addition to the governor and the provincial formula, the main leaders of the PJ were present at the Ferial event. They were the national senator Alejandra Vigo; the Minister of Community Engagement and Communication, Paulo Cassinerio, and the majority of the provincial and municipal cabinet.
After that institutional act, Llaryora went to the Civic Center to meet with Governor Schiaretti. In that meeting, he would have agreed on the last positions for provincial legislators, in both sections: single district (sheet list) and single-member by department.
Schiaretti has more influence on the sheet list and Llaryora on the selection of departmental candidates. Although this rule is not so strict. The candidate for governor imposed that the mayor of Río Cuarto, Juan Manuel Llamosas, head the list by single district, for example.
The Rio Cuartense will be the provisional president of the Legislature (the second in the line of succession), in the event that the ruling party retains provincial power. With the photo of Llamosas, next to the provincial formula, and that of the Capital (Daniel Passerini-Javier Pretto), next to the governor, the mayor of the south is currently one of the few confirmed legislator candidates.
The other pro-government leaders who would have a guaranteed place in the first 20 places, the most expected on the sheet list, would be: Carlos Gutiérrez; Ricardo Sosa; Miguel Siciliano; Leonardo Limia; Claudia Martinez; Nadia Fernandez and Laura Jure.
Another leader who would occupy a place among the first 20 places is the capital’s councilor Bernardo Knipscheer, partner of the national deputy Natalia de la Sota. A sign for Delasotism, following the daughter of ex-governor José Manuel de la Sota will not integrate the provincial formula.
It is unknown if the lieutenant governor Manuel Calvo will occupy the third place on that list, as some versions indicate. A llaryorista source assured that he will not be on the sheet, but that he will continue as campaign manager inside. We will have to wait for the officialization of the list.
The last doubts regarding the official candidacies do not go through the names of Peronists. Schiaretti and Llaryora continue with the task of tempting radicals and PRO leaders to join the ruling party.
“There will be some surprises on the sheet list with radical and PRO leaders. Those negotiations are the only thing that is delaying the confirmation of the lists. Among the leaders of the PJ; the governor and Llaryora have already resolved it,” said an official who is aware of the negotiations.
The other information that emerged is that the Minister of Coordination, Silvina Rivero, will occupy the first place as a candidate for the Provincial Court of Accounts. She is the closest official to Governor Schiaretti, who led the salary negotiations with the state unions.
She will be accompanied in second place by the provincial legislator, Juan Manuel Cid, a trusted man of Llaryora.
in the departments
In the departments, for now, one of those confirmed is the mayor of Colonia Caroya, the llaryorista Gustavo Brandán, as the pro-government candidate for the Colón department.
Another department regarding which there are no doubts is Santa María, where the Minister of Employment, Facundo Torres, will be the pro-government candidate.
In the Capital, in a politically relevant place as the single-member candidate, everything indicates that the Minister of Citizen Engagement and Communication, Paulo Cassinerio, will occupy that place. He is an extremely trusted official of Governor Schiaretti, and above all, of National Senator Alejandra Vigo.
In Rio Segundo, the PJ candidate would be former Oncativo mayor Gastón Re, accompanied by Renata Fortuna, daughter of legislator Francisco Fortuna, as alternate.
For his part, in Unión, the province’s Secretary of Government, Ángel “Lito” Bevilacqua, will head the list. In Marcos Juárez, the mayor of Corral de Bustos, Roberto Pacheco, sounds loud. The Minister of Social Development, Juan Carlos Massei, is also mentioned, but the Schiarettista official might go to the sheet list.
Meanwhile, in the General Roca department, Silvio Quiroga, mayor of Villa Huidobro, would be the PJ candidate. For her part, in Roque Sáenz Peña, the current legislator Victoria Busso (daughter of the Minister of Agriculture, Sergio Busso), will head the official ticket.
In the Juárez Celman department, the mayor of La Carlota, Fabio Guaschino, will be the candidate for the pro-government alliance.
In the north of the province, Mayor Claudio Farías will lead the list in the Cruz del Eje department. In Río Seco, Ramón Flores, mayor of Villa de María, will lead that district. In Pocho, the pro-government candidate would be Jorge “Pato” Quiroga.
San Justo, the political territory of Llaryora, and also of Calvo’s lieutenant governor, Augusto Pastore, who answers to the candidate for governor is the one who has the best chance of being the departmental candidate.
In San Javier, the political territory of Oscar González, the candidate might be Enrique Rébora, mayor of Las Rabonas.
There are doubts regarding the neighboring department, which is San Alberto. The current legislator Julio Bañuelos aspired to go for his re-election, but in the PJ they say that the mayor of Nono, Mariano Ceballos, has a chance to occupy that place.
For his part, in the department of San Martín, a man from Martín Gill, like the mayor of Villa Nueva, Natalia Graglia, sounds strong to be the single-member candidate, but it remains to close the agreement with the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Eduardo Accastello.
Some departments remain to define the candidate, but above all, the expectations in the ruling party go through knowing who will be the top 20 on the sheet list, who would have concrete chances of entering the Legislature, if Hacemos wins the provincial elections on the 25th of June.
