AUROLZMUENSTER. The environmental technology company Scheuch with 1400 employees enjoys well-filled order books, invests heavily in digitization and creates space for more than 60 jobs at the Aurolzmünster site. With the opening of a new building, the “DIGI-Cube”, the future project will also be visible in analogue form. “Digitization is a basic requirement for tomorrow’s business,” says Scheuch CEO Stefan Scheuch.
The new digitization building DIGI-Cube with 1125 square meters will be the linchpin for various developments and measures on the way to becoming a digital company. Employees from the areas of innovation, IT and the digitization team will find an environment here for cooperation and implementation of the various transformation processes involving everyone involved – from customers to employees. “Digital solutions can only succeed if everyone in the company participates and is part of the process,” says Stefan Scheuch.
Lots of incoming orders
With its industrial systems for air pollution control, the environmental technology company has been making a contribution to protecting people and the environment for many years. “The focus is not only on the clean environment, but also on sustainable growth,” says Jörg Jeliniewski, COO of Scheuch Management Holding. The aim is to increase annual operating performance to more than 400 million euros by 2027. This also requires further development in the organization. “One of the most important projects is digitization in the company,” says Jeliniewski.
Despite the challenging crises, Scheuch can continue on its growth course. The reasons for this are on the one hand the broad product portfolio in the many different industries such as industrial minerals, energy, metal, engineered wood, wood and glass, and on the other hand the global network – be it with partners or with our own company locations.
In addition, Scheuch is benefiting from the accelerated energy transition, which is filling the order books even faster than before. “In the current fiscal year, we are expecting an all-time high in incoming orders,” says Thomas Eberl, CFO of the Scheuch Group.
In order to continue to carry out projects efficiently and economically using the latest state of the art, new initiatives are required. “The digital transformation represents significant progress and also strengthens our competitiveness,” says Eberl.
New ways are always needed to remain competitive. “We want to use modern tools to pave the way for the workplace of the future, lay the foundation for digital business models and processes and be attractive for future employees,” says Stefan Scheuch.
Digital workplace, predictive maintenance and digital engineering are buzzwords that shape Scheuch’s vision of the future. Digitalization at Scheuch stands for clever processes, consistent data and modern system architecture. “These processes cover the entire value chain, from sales and development to production and following-sales. A large number of sub-projects result in the digital transformation in total,” says Oliver Meinhart, Director Digitalization and Business Processes.
