Schaeffler announces first-half results… “Increased sales in all divisions and regions”

8.2 billion euros, an increase of 10.1% compared to the same period last year

[인더스트리뉴스 조창현 기자] The Schaeffler Group’s sales in the first half of this year increased by 10.1% compared to the same period last year. Schaeffler Korea (CEO Lee Byung-chan), a global supplier of precision parts and systems for automobiles and industrial machinery, announced on the 10th that the Schaeffler Group’s sales in the first half of this year recorded regarding 8.2 billion euros.

The Schaeffler Group’s sales by region in the first half of this year increased significantly, growing 14.0% in Europe. Sales in the Asia-Pacific region increased by 10.9%, and sales in Greater China and the Americas increased by 6.6% and 5.6%, respectively.

By business area, it was expanded in all sectors, including △automotive technology △automotive followingmarket △industrial machinery. Specifically, it increased by 8.3%, 17.6%, and 10.6%, respectively, compared to the first half of last year. It can be interpreted that all business divisions are recording growth.

The Automotive Technology Division generated sales of 4.84 billion euros, or regarding 6.95 trillion won, in the first half of this year. In addition, the automotive followingmarket division posted sales of 1.131 billion euros, which is regarding 1.62 trillion won in Korean currency. In addition, the industrial machinery sector contributed to the growth of the Schaeffler Group by recording sales of 2.237 billion euros, or regarding 3.21 trillion won in Korean currency, in the first half of this year.

Regarding the automotive followingmarket sector with the highest sales growth rate, Schaeffler explained that sales in Europe increased by 17.1% compared to the same period last year, China by 36.6%, and Asia Pacific and the Americas by 18.1% and 14.1%, respectively. In addition, he said that the industrial machinery sector grew as a result of the acquisition of the Ewellix group to strengthen the industrial automation sector.

Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of the Schaeffler Group, said, “Despite the difficult market environment, the Schaeffler Group was able to achieve good results in the first half of this year with sales growth in all divisions and regions. We drove growth by recording double-digit growth in the second quarter of this year.”

Meanwhile, in the first half of last year, the Schaeffler Group posted sales of 7.548 billion euros.
