Scarlett Johansson Feels Weird During Sex Scene with Joaquin Phoenix

The appearance of Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson in the film Her is quite an impression on the audience. Even though it’s been nine years, many people still remember their chemistry.

Recently, Scarlett Johansson also opened her voice regarding the film project, especially regarding the sex scenes she did with the Joker star. In the podcast program Dax Shepard, he admitted that the scene felt so awkward.

“We tried to do it in one scene and he felt like he failed. He was very disappointed with it. He left the studio. He needed a break,” said the woman who is familiarly called ScarJo.

“You never (never) want to hear your own voice. You certainly don’t want to hear your voice when you have an orgasm. (Moreover) You certainly don’t want to hear your voice faking an orgasm.

In the film, Scarlett Johansson plays a computer program named Samantha. Meanwhile, Joaquin Phoenix becomes a writer named Theodore who falls in love with the computer AI, even though he only hears his voice.

Scarlett Johansson’s voice recording process for the film was quite heavy compared to other films. It even does voice recording up to 40 to 50 times. The director Spike Jonze also made a special room for him.

“He made me a weird little box, it’s a little vocal room that I belong to, it’s like a broom storage room,” said Scarlett Johansson.

“It was very difficult because Spike is a very demanding person and it’s something so gentle, every moment you have to make an impact,” he added.

Previously, Scarlett Johansson also talked regarding her experience of being a sexual object at a very young age and being trapped into being treated unfairly in Hollywood.

One of the highest-paid actresses in the world even felt that her career would not develop, because the public thought that she was much older than her age, so she often appeared so sexy in films.

“I feel like I’ve been objectified and treated unfairly, because I feel like I’ve never been offered the job I wanted,” she said.

“I remember thinking this, ‘I think people think I’m 40,'” she added.

Scarlett Johansson started her career at the age of 9 in the film North (1994). She also had time to get praise for her performance with Bill Murray in 2003 when she starred in Lost in Translation as Sofia Coppola. In the film, she was only 17 years old but she played an adult female character.
