Scarlett, Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross’ segment on SmackDown didn’t go well

Scarlett, Karrion Kross and Drew McIntyre starred in a segment on SmackDown that didn’t go well.

This Friday, on Friday Night SmackDown, we saw how Drew McIntyre challenged Karrion Kross to a ‘Strap Match’ at Extreme Rules 2022. Kross accepted, but before he did, a segment took place in which they came to blows.

Fightful Select has reported that the part of the segment where Scarlett throws a paper that gives off a kind of flare to blind Drew McIntyre did not work as planned, since this that Scarlett used (known as “flash paper”), was not ready to be on television and it was not seen in the proper way how he blinded McIntyre. Therefore, WWE decided to broadcast a slow-motion replay right following to make it look good. Since that happened, everything we saw followingwards was improvised by Scarlett, McIntyre and Kross.

This happens on some occasions and the segment will end up well if the protagonists have a good ability to improvise, as the big stars of the main companies usually have. In this case it was like that, since it might have turned out much worse if both had not understood each other following this unforeseen event.
