The Timberwolves lost on their visit to Washington, but beyond that they left with the disappointment of seeing their top star, Karl-Anthony Towns, injured.
The concern came to see the center fall to the parquet without any contact. Towns was starting a run when he quickly stopped and reached for his right leg. He was left lying on the pitch and had to be helped by his teammates to go to the locker room. Seeing the scene, he feared that it was an Achilles tendon injury, but it seems that everything will be scared.
The first scans carried out by the Minnesota medical services led to the problem being classified as a calf strain. Now it’s time to wait for the pertinent MRI, but there is optimism that the pivot has avoided a major injury; reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Whether it’s more or less Towns’ time off, it’s certainly a noticeable absence for Wolves, as he’s currently averaging 21.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists. The fit of his association with Rudy Gobert has made him lower his statistics somewhat compared to previous courses.
