A member of the Brothers of Charity in Ghent ended his life a week after being questioned about alleged sexual violence against at least one minor, Het Laatste Nieuws reported on Saturday.
The Ghent public prosecutor’s office had opened an investigation into this 66-year-old man. “There are two complaints of transgressive behavior. The facts date from the early 2000s“, confirmed Veron Raed, of the Brothers of Charity, to whom the deceased had made confessions.
