Our Bureau of Investigation learned from Claude Legault that his image was used to promote Male Enhancement, aimed at countering erectile dysfunction problems.

“Even if it was a really good product, they don’t have the right to take my identity to advertise it. Lend me words, lend me intentions, lend me life problems that I don’t have. And probably their product is crap,” complains the actor.

Hosts Gino Chouinard and Ève-Marie Lortie as well as nutrition doctor Isabelle Huot also denounce the dishonest tactics of scammers who stole their image to promote weight loss pills.

“It makes me angry. They do this with my name, with my face and with words that don’t belong to me. I have nothing to do with that,” insists the host of Hello Hello Weekendwhose image was attached to Viaketo products.

Nutrition doctor Isabelle Huot, who has also become the “face” of these products, finds it deplorable to see people getting involved in this.

“They use my fame, my notoriety and there, they put me on the front page of a fake magazine 7 days with the little ViaKeto pill. But no, that can’t be! People who know me know that I am once morest the keto approach,” she insists.

Why these stars?

These stars are all asking the same question: why were they chosen by these scammers?

“One of the hypotheses is that we would simply have contacted a freelance consultant who is responsible for doing market research like that,” says Catherine Dupont-Gagnon, director of Cyber Citoyen.

“We contact him and ask him to find a list of 10-15 well-known personalities in Quebec who would sell supplements, for example. The person is doing this research legitimately. The fraudsters just took this list and built fake accounts from this information.”
