Have you ever imagined being scammed on purchases made in person? This is what a university student from the United States, named Slow_Broccoli, came across what seemed like a great opportunity to do business. In this sense, he found what appeared to be various AMD processorsbut the outcome was not what was expected.
To begin with, he reported what happened in a post on Reddit and said that he saw several packages of Ryzen 7 5700G chips when he entered a store that sells second-hand products called Goodwill. Here, what caught his attention was the price charged for the items: US$ 7,49equivalent to R$36.83 at the current price.
That said, he wasted no time and bought all the units that were available for sale, totaling 26 boxes of processors. The user was disappointed to have found fans and manuals, but no chips. According to him, he was so discouraged that he got to the point where he stopped opening the packages when he was in his 20th year.
Without a doubt, this result ended up being a shower of cold water for the young man, who thought he had found a gold mine, with plans to sell the processors for US$30, at least. Therefore, the idea of earning “thousands of dollars” by selling the components ended up going very wrong.
Broccoli still thought regarding recovering part of the loss by putting the fans up for sale on eBay. However, he stated that the cost of shipping would not make the work worth it. This way, the student doesn’t know what to do with their purchase.
Also check out the case of a young man who bought an iPhone 11 and received a perfume for babies, as well as the resident of São Paulo who lost R$2,000 when buying an iPhone that was supposedly half the price.
