A woman managed to occupy 16 job positions at the same time in different companies, receiving the corresponding salary, with the particularity that she never went to work, in a daring scam scheme that plagues the business community in China.
Guan Yue, along with her husband Chen Qiang, are the leaders of a network of professional salary cheats, who had profits of around 119 million pesos, for three years.
The woman created impressive resumes, with high positions in renowned companies and an impressive list of potential contacts, managing to convince of her worth to be hired.
Guan showed his ability to simulate meetings with clients and appear to be fulfilling his work responsibilities. She kept meticulous records for each fictitious job, such as start dates, tasks, and bank accounts.
If she felt overwhelmed, she would sell the position to third parties and take a commission. For three years she allowed his wife and wife to accumulate the wealth necessary to purchase a villa in a prestigious district of Shanghai.
It was Liu Jian, owner of a technology company, who managed to expose the scam. After last October he hired eight people for a sales position, but they didn’t achieve results and he fired them.
Liu noticed strange data in the documentation of his former employees, who worked simultaneously in at least two companies. He alerted authorities and the investigation led to the arrest of 53 suspects, including Guan and Chen.
