(BUSINESS WIRE)– PUMA Sports is demonstrating how recycled materials can create a unique look with Recollection, a line of sports style, running, training and motorsport products made from recycled cotton and polyester.
Depending on the style, Recollection pieces contain between 20 and 100 percent recycled materials, creating a look of perfect understated in neutral colors. Residues from shearing operations are also used to enhance the uppers of Recollection lifestyle shoes.
Fall/Winter Recollection includes performance products for running and training such as the BWR Frame TR, a high-performance training shoe designed to support the forefoot and features at least 30 percent recycled materials in its upper. Among the other training products at Recollection, socks are made from at least 70 percent recycled materials while retaining performance properties such as the moisture wicking property of Puma’s DryCell technology.
As part of its ‘Forever Better’ sustainability strategy, Puma has set itself ambitious goals in using materials from more sustainable sources and increasing the amount of recycled content in its products. By 2025, 75 percent of the polyester used in Puma’s clothing and accessories will come from recycled sources.
