SBB: Train collides with animals – restricted rail traffic between Bern and Olten

As a news scout reported to 20 minutes, a train from Bern to Zurich collided with animals on Monday morning. The SBB also writes regarding restrictions in rail traffic on Twitter. As the news scout further reports, there was a power failure. “The train is expected to be evacuated now, and a replacement train should come.” The news scout expects massive delays on the Zurich-Bern route.

It is still unclear whether the passengers will be taken to Bern or Zurich. “Because of the failed air conditioning, it is slowly getting warm in the train, the windows have been opened to let in fresh, cooler air,” said the news scout. However, the mood on the train is still relaxed, and the passengers take it easy. “Unfortunately, the coffee machine also failed, which is a shame,” says the news scout.

The SBB reports that delays and diversions are to be expected. The affected lines are therefore the IC1, IC6, IC8, IC61, IR15 and IR16. The duration of the restriction is not yet known.
