Tragedy strikes Savoie: a woman, 54, perishes, and a 32-year-old man sustains critical injuries in a paragliding accident on Saturday afternoon in La Plagne-Tarentaise.

Emergency responders reported the incident shortly after 1:30 p.m., when the tandem paraglider plummeted approximately ten meters, the precise reasons remaining unclear.
Sadly, the woman in her fifties passed away at the scene. The pilot, the 32-year-old male, suffered severe wounds and was rushed to the Grenoble University Hospital for treatment.
