A 54-year-old woman has died and a 32-year-old man was seriously injured on Saturday afternoon in their tandem paraglider crash in La Plagne-Tarentaise, Savoie.

The facts took place shortly after 1:30 p.m. when the crew fell “about ten meters” to the ground in circumstances that remained undetermined, firefighters said on Saturday.
The victim, a fifty-something, died on the spot. The seriously injured, who piloted the paraglider, was transported to the Grenoble hospital center, according to the same source.
