Energie AG Oberösterreich has now offered its existing gas customers the option to switch to a cheaper price. At a gross labor price of 9.37 cents per kilowatt hour, the savings with a consumption of 15,000 kilowatt hours would be between 300 and 1,800 euros per year, depending on the starting product, the state energy supplier calculated in a press release on Monday.
This requires a product change that can be completed retroactively for the current month by April 30th. According to Energie AG, more than 38,000 customers will be contacted about this. Buyers of biogas products would be offered separate, more favorable conditions in the coming weeks.
“We promised to offer our customers a cheaper gas price as soon as we could. We are keeping this promise with our new offer,” said Klaus Dorninger and Alexander Marchner, managing directors of Energie-AG sales. If the market allows price reductions again, these would also be passed on. Due to long-term planning and procurement logistics for gas products, decreases and increases in market prices would have a delayed effect on the prices for end customers.
